Privacy policy
SaaS Compared is published by WittySparks. We collect as little as we can: you can read every comparison without an account, and we don't run advertising trackers or analytics on this site.
What we collect
- Your account. Reading needs no account. To vote or suggest changes you sign in with a business email address: we store that address, its company domain and when you signed up and last visited. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your inbox (no password) and a session cookie, provided by our authentication service, Supabase. A security check from Cloudflare Turnstile helps keep bots out of the sign-in form.
- Votes. When you mark a tool “I use this”, we store that your account voted for that tool. We publish only the total count per tool, never who voted.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
- Suggestions. When you suggest a change, we store it with your account. We use your email only if we need to ask about your suggestion; it is never shown on the site or shared.
- Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to reply.
- Editors. Our editors sign in to a separate admin area with an extra verification step.
Third parties
- Embedded videos. Some pages embed YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode. The video loads only when you open the section that contains it, and YouTube may set cookies once you play it, under Google's privacy policy.
- Tool icons. Icons next to tool names are each vendor's website favicon. Our server fetches them through Google's favicon service and serves them to you itself, so your browser doesn't contact Google for them.
- Links to other sites. When you follow a link to a vendor or another website, including affiliate links, that site's own privacy policy applies. Affiliate links may include an identifier that tells the vendor the visit came from us.
We don't sell or share your personal information.
